About Lucy
Lucy is a passionate dyslexia specialist and advocate of individuals with neurodiversity. She has extensive knowledge and experience of supporting individuals and parents / carers during their journey with dyslexia and is fully committed to seeing the individual grow in confidence, understanding and self-belief.
Lucy is a qualified SENCo who has worked in special educational needs for 20 years. She held the position of Head of Learning Support in a large sixth form college in London before moving home to North Yorkshire with her family, where she worked as Director of Learning Support from 2015-2023 for a 3-18 independent school in Harrogate.
Lucy holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate and is a member of PATOSS (The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties). In addition, Lucy has a clean enhanced DBS record and Professional Indemnity Insurance. She is Data Protection registered through the ICO (The Information Commissioner’s Office).
Lucy’s enthusiasm, warmth and approachable nature allows her to build long-lasting relationships with the individuals she is privileged to work with.
